At FBC, we recognize the importance of providing practical opportunities to serve our communities in the name of Christ.
iCare is designed to equip our congregation toward becoming people who live lifestyles of compassion towards others through serving their community in ways that clearly demonstrate the power of God’s love. It is our opportunity to do good works through acts of kindness and meeting real needs which leads to good will and opportunities to share the good news.
We are offering yearlong iCare projects that will enable us to build relationships and be a blessing to our communities on an ongoing basis. Please take a look at these opportunities to see how you can get involved.
Yolo County Foster Family Project
Contact: Meg Harper
On Saturday, April 6th FBC will be serving Foster Families of Yolo County through a number of initiatives designed to lighten the load of Foster Parents and encourage them in their good work.
Foster Family Home Projects (9-12): Our aim is to send teams of 5–8 people to the homes of Foster Families to do simple projects that make a difference. Projects might include such things as yardwork, housecleaning, handyman work, etc. List any skills, interests, or other equipment (such as a truck) you have that may assist in this project
Assist with the party at FBC for families (10-12)
Help prepare dinners for families to take home with them (at FBC 10-12)
